Open, O, (O), etc.: This means the roleplay is open - accepting new players. Threads are generally open by default, but any thread stating they are Open makes it definite!
Private, P, (p), etc.: Private means it is not accepting new players. This is commonly abbreviated with just a P, often surrounded by decorative elements. Don't post in one of these unless invited. You may also physically set your thread to be private/hidden using our privacy controls if you wish.
PAFP:: Private After First Post. This is a private one on one thread usually, in which the first person to join is the only one allowed in, and after that, the thread is closed to any more people joining.
Sign Up: This is, simply put, a thread where you can sign up/apply to join the roleplay. Different roleplays have different rules for these so be sure to read those before you apply.
Walk-in, Jump In, etc. A roleplayer who simply joins the thread with their character roleplaying right away. Some roleplays accept these, others require you to join by signing up first.
OOC: Out Of Character. When a player uses this they let others know of any typed note or post that isn't part of the roleplay.
IC: In Character. This is generally used to let people know when they are done typing any out of character notes, and are roleplaying once more.
