I am a proud Erudite. I am cruel. I am smart. Not completely evil, though. Just on the outside.

What you need to know:
______________________________________________________
At an unknown point in time, Chicago transformed itself into a society divided into five factions that each cultivate a specific virtue; Erudite for intelligence, Amity for peacefulness, Abnegation for selflessness, Candor for truth, and Dauntless for bravery. People are born in each of these factions. On their sixteenth birthday, they go through Aptitude tests, which determine which of these factions you would fit in the most and the Choosing Ceremony. There, you choose which faction you want to go to. That can be which faction you scored on your Aptitude test, or one that you just want to join.
There are some people who score more than one result on their Aptitude test. They have traits from many factions. These people are called Divergent. They are considered very dangerous and unsafe to be around, even though they are just normal people.
Correspondingly with the creation of a new seemingly Utopian society, the city broke off ties from the outside and erected a fence around its borders. Most of the city is now abandoned or in ruins. Navy Pier, for instance, is in decay with most of its attractions, such as the Ferris wheel, deemed unusable but still working. What was once Millennium Park is now no more than a barren piece of grassland. Nature has taken its course, as Lake Michigan has dried up, becoming more of a swamp. It is said that north of the bridge, the city is quiet and abandoned. Most buildings near the center of the city such as the previously called Willis Tower is in good habitable conditions, while those within the outskirts of the city are in shambles.
The city is divided into sections that houses each of the five factions. The factionless, on the other hand, are spread out around the abandoned parts of the city, living as vagabonds.

My plot deals with the Factionless.
_______________________________________________________________
The factionless are sick of being minors to the factions. Do you think the factionless don't know each other? No. The certain factionless people formed together once a year, at the Choosing Ceremony, and they hop along a train to a faction. Trying to make it into the initiation without anybody finding out you've been through initiation before, but now, a different faction, will be tough, as their minds have trained to morph in one faction.
A few people, such as Rora Hence, Tony Flame, and Cass Mannicks, who are new Dauntless initiates, start to befriend these re-initiated people. They've covered up for them, taken falls, and sometimes, the blade. Sick of knowing the re-initiates secrets, they crumble. The three of them abandon their initiation process, along with the factionless initiates. As they are now without faction, they seek more of their kind.
Rora, taking place of a leader, forms their group, also known as the Canopy Rifles. Tony, better known as Cory, becomes a commander. Cass becomes the mastermind of plans. They dig up fortresses, and move throughout them, multiple groups of the 'Rifles' all over the factions. Their little home-made faction starts to make headlines, such as "Factionless to Faction?", "Rebels Break out of Bars", and most importantly,"Rifles on a Massacre". All of this was true, though. The Rifles fight for rights. Combined talent of all the factionless, so nobody is without home. They have much room. Maybe for even more Leaders, more Commanders, and more Mentors. Rora Hence has changed very much. She's sought out emotions as much as possible. The process has aged her. She remains young on the outside. She won't tolerate much, though main meetings are one way she lets people know that.
Less than a year after the Rifles were formed, the rebels counted up to over ten rounds of initiates. They are large in number. They are large in talent...They have the capability to overthrow and finally become a faction. But their number one fear? The league of people that formed up and try to kill them. Can they defeat Meghan Peterson and her group of evil followers? Will you have to break a few hearts of the new initiates that have been fans of you? Do you have the guts to kill wildly to protect a 'small' cause? Will you even be a part of the Rifle Revolution, and possibly become the new faction? Parity or Disparity?
